Please join the New Orleans Architecture Foundation on Tuesday, November 7th, to hear from local architects, Emilie and Seth Welty, founders of COLECTIVO on their practice, their design process and philosophy, and the unique challenges and opportunities of practicing architecture in New Orleans.
Colectivo is a New Orleans based firm pursuing a link between creative professional practice, academic research, and active community engagement. They are a collective of creative, design-based thinkers who try to bring a bit of fun and social consciousness to projects ranging from architecture to ecology and from furniture design to film. Thinking broadly about design has allowed them to take on variety of work scales. Colectivo's Edible Schoolyard at Arthur Ashe project recently won an Award in the 2017 AIA New Orleans Design Awards. You can find out more about their firm here.
Please bring your questions to ask during the open forum portion of the lecture.
